All outdoor Pollen Mobile Flowers require help from a Certified Professional Installer, or CPI to complete the installation. CPIs are individuals who have gone through specific training to take the correct measurements required by the Spectrum Access System (SAS) when registering a device operating in CBRS.
Pollen Mobile has streamlined the process of registering with the SAS by creating guides that enable anyone to take the measurements to complete registration with the SAS. Once measurements are taken, they can be submitted directly to Pollen and a member of our CPI team will review and input the information in our SAS.

How do I find a CPI?
A CPI can be helpful to you if you want to do additional optimizations for your installation, or plan to deploy many Flowers and want to undergo more strategic RF planning. The best path to finding a CPI in your area is to join the Pollen Mobile Discord to solicit help from folks in your area. As a profession, the CPI one is fairly new, however, many people who are heavily invested in the CBRS and decentralized wireless (DeWi) space will often get their CPI certification in order to speed up deployment times. As a result, there are many Pollen Mobile community members across the United States who are able to help.
How can I become a CPI?
Anyone can take a CPI training course and become certified, provided they have completed the course with an accredited provider and have successfully passed the accreditation exam. Popular course providers include Federated Wireless, Commscope, and Google (via Coursera).
I have connected with a CPI. What do I need to give them?
Your CPI will help you plan your installation and can advise on the recommend positioning of your antenna to maximize your coverage. Once installed, your CPI will be required to take a number of measurements such as the height of the installation and the direction that the antenna is pointing so that they can register your Flower with the Spectrum Access System. As part of registering your Flower with the SAS, the CPI will "certify" that the information entered is complete. Please remember that a CPI is effectively "signing off" on your installation. If after installation you then change any aspect of your installation, you must notify a CPI so that they can re-submit the information with the SAS. Failure to do so will result in your Flower being taken offline, and in extreme circumstances, rewards for your Flowers being suspended.
